Our Family History

The research presented on this web site began as a study of the ancestry of John James Kyle and Marjorie Kaye who were born in the late 1890's in New Brunswick, Canada. Over time it has become a study of the descendants of the immigrant ancestors of John and Marjorie. The research now follows the descendants of many of these "first families" as they intermarried and migrated across New Brunswick and North America.

If you wish to browse the site, the first families listed below may provide useful starting points. Also try the name search. The wiki associated with this site may also be helpful.

As many of the families came from New England, the Kyle/Kaye ancestors were also part of many key events in the settlement of New England. For example, Kyle/Kaye ancestors were present in the Dutch colony of New Amsterdam (for example, Aert Willemszen) and in the Puritan settlements of Massachusetts (for example, the Mayflower settler John Alden)
