  Notes	[From "The Barters of Avondale"] Percy Barter was a carpebter for many years in Hartland and during the Second World War was a fish warden for the Provincial Government. He served in the First World War with the 6th Seige Battery in England and France. He and his wife lived for about seven yaers in Vancouver, returning to Hartland in 1915. He died in the Veterans Hospital, Saint John and is buried with his wife in Hartland.
