He married Mary C. Ferguson, daughter of Heman and Delia Carrol Ferguson in New York; date unknown at this writing. Their children are as follows: 1. Elsie M. Snitchler was born in Broome County, New York c1875. 2. Edgar J. Snitchler was born October 28, 1877 at Harpursville, New York 3. Burton Raymond Snitchler was born September 28, 1879 at Harpursville, N.Y. Mary Ferguson Snitchler was born October 14,1854 in Broome County, New York, and died January 23, 1922 in New York. William married Ella Whitford on August 22, 1925 at Madison, New York. She was the daughter of Ward Akerly and Mary McAuley. Ella Whitford was born in St. John, New Brunswick. Her age at the time of the marriage was sixty-eight. William Snitchler died October 11, 1928 and is buried at Plains Cemetery in Ninevah, New York.
