Obituary Mrs. Kate STEADMAN 1933

At Montreal on Dec. 2 1933, Kate STEADMAN Kaye, widow of James William Kaye, leaving four sons and two daughters to mourn. Funeral from Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Tuesday. Service at 8.p.m. Interment at Fernhill Cemetary.

Former Moncton Ldy, Mrs. Kate STEADMAN Kaye, passes in Montreal.
Word was received here on Saturday evening of the death in Montreal of Mrs. Kate STEADMAN Kaye, widow of Mr. James W. Kaye, formerly of Moncton. The deceased was born in Saint John, but lived in Moncton for the greater part of her life and where she enjoyed the acquaintanceship of many friends who will deeply regret to learn of her passing. For the last five years since the death of her husband the deceased lady had made her home in Montreal. She was a member of First Moncton Baptist church. The late Mrs. Kaye was 74 years of age and leaves to mourn two daughters, Mrs. William C. Gerrish, Marietta, Ohio, and Mrs. John J. Kyle of Montreal and four sons, Charles H. of Chicago; William S. of Boston; Frank A. of Montreal, and Clinton T. of Moncton. Two half-sisters, Mrs. Freda Coffin and Miss Hazel STEADMAN, both of New Hampshire, also survive. The body is being brought to Saint John for burial in the family lot in Pine Hill Cemeteray on Tuesday afternoon. It will pass through Moncton on the Maritime Express Tuesday morning on route to the Loyalist City.

Funeral of former Moncton lady in Saint John :
The body of Mrs. Kate STEADMAN Kaye, widow of Mr. J.W. Kaye, formerly of Moncton, who died recently in Montreal, arrived at the city yesterday on the Marine Express and was transferred to the Saint John train for transport to that city where interment was made in the family lot in Pine Hill cemetary. Accompanying the remins were members of her family resident in Montreal and who were joined here by other relatives.

Return home from sad mission :
Mr. J.J. Kyle of the C.N.R. general offices staff, Montreal, who with Mrs. Kyle came east accompanying the body of the latter's mother, Mrs. J.W. Kaye, to Saint John for burial, returned to the metropolis on the Ocean Limited yesterday. Mrs. Kyle is remening here for a few days visiting relatives before returning home.

Returning home after sad mission
Mr. William Kaye of Boston, and Mrs. Wiiliam Churchill Gerrish ( Grace Kaye ) of Marietta, Ohio, are spending a few days in the city at the home of their brother, Mr. C.T. Kaye, 17 Hall Street, having been called here by the death of their mother, Mr. J.W. Kaye, whose funeral was held in Saint John on Tuesday with service at Brenan's Funeral Home, conducted by Rev. W.A. Knott. Interment was in the family lot in Fernhill Cemetary. |
