F. Ursula Morrissey
F. Ursula Morrissey 1927 - 2008 F. Ursula Morrissey, 81, of Riverside-Albert passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 18, 2008 at the home of her son, Arnold and Mary's, where she was last residing. Ursula was born in Hastings, Albert County, NB on April 19, 1927. She was the daughter of the late LeRoy and Bernice (Kennie) Rolfe. Ursula was retired from NB Tel where she had worked as an operator with over 20 years of service. She attended the St. Augustine's Roman Catholic Church when she lived in Moncton and was a member of the Holy Ghost Catholic Church in Riverside-Albert. Ursula enjoyed cooking, especially making pickles and beets. She loved gardening and all different kinds of flowers. She enjoyed bird watching and times spent at the camp. She enjoyed quilting, having made many quilts for her family and she was quite a card player in her day. Her main priority in life was her family, she took great pride in her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Ursula raised her family by surrounding them with love. She was also known for her great sense of humour. All her family feel privileged to have had such a loving and caring mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and will cherish all the memories forever. She was truly a special lady who left an impact on everyone she met, she will be missed by all who knew her. She will be deeply missed by her four daughters, Sheila Gagne (Guy) of Irishtown, Shelda Morrissey of Riverside-Albert, Sandra Smith (Vernon) of Hillsborough and Sylvia Rossiter (Hilyard Jr.) of Midway; her three sons, Arnold (Mary) of Riverside-Albert, Allen (Nancy) of Moncton and Alfred (Terry) of Moncton; her cherished 15 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren; her brother Gerald Rolfe (Mildred) of Little Britian, Ont.; sister-in-law, Joan Rolfe of Riverview. She will also be missed by several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her beloved husband, Howard; her infant son, Joseph; daughter Sharon and by her brother, Clayton Rolfe. She will be resting at the Albert County Funeral Home with visitation on Sunday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm. Parish Prayers and a time of sharing will be held on Sunday evening at 8:30pm. The Funeral Mass will be held at the Holy Ghost Catholic Church on Monday morning, September 22, 2008 at 11:00am with Father Phil Mulligan officiating. Interment will be held in the Holy Ghost Cemetery, Hopewell Hill. Following the service the family will be meeting with relatives and friends for further fellowship, sharing of memories and for refreshments at the Riverside-Albert Recreation Center. For those who wish, donations to the Friends of the Moncton Hospital or to the charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
